Passionate about Science, Technology and Education, I'm a MSc candidate in Structural Engineering at Federal University of Alagoas who loves coding. I'm also a volunteer teacher at Sementes do Vale project, teaching mathematics for children of an underprivileged community in Maceió, Brazil. An amateur musician, photographer and movie maker, who believes that there are no such things as good laughs, good guitar solos and absolutely any kind of chocolate. Learning something makes me happy. Teaching anything makes me happier.

MSc in Structural Engineering • Expected graduation in: April 2021
Currently enrolled on my first year of Master's degree, I am developing my thesis on topological optimization of anchor lines in offshore structures.
Civil Engineering • November 2012 - March 2019
Graduated. I have worked with different areas within the Civil Engineering major, such as Water Resources, Structures and Mechanics of Materials. The last two are intrinsically related to the academic reserch I was enrolled during the last two years of my graduation. On this research, we worked with numerical methods to simulate Geological Structures in order to ease the identification and exploration of hydrocarbons (oil and gas).
Exchange program, Civil Engineering • October 2014 - August 2015
This experience was part of my exchange program through the Brazilian Scientific Mobility Program. I was able to spend one full academic year as an exchange student at UC Davis. There I had access to courses my home university does not offer, which complemented my formation.
Intensive English Professional Program • March 2014 - August 2014
Also part of my exchange program, I spent two quarters studying English at the UC Davis Extension Center and on the end of this period I was accepted to UC Davis. The load of learning I had on this period was immense. Not only learning English, but also learning about culture, when I had the opportunity to get to know people from more than 20 countries worldwide. Knowing their everyday, their lifestyle, even their way of dressing, contributed a lot to expand my universe and conscience about the real size of the world.
Intern • May 2017 - September 2017
This was a remunerated non-mandatory Internship, on which I was able to work designing prestressed and reinforced concrete structures. We worked with TQS, a brazilian software for calculating such structures.
All the skills shown below are related to something that I have previously worked before. The dark bars translate how much fluency and comfort I have developing professional work using these specific skills.
